VIJO Shines at The 13th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, Winning First Prize in the Photonics Startup Group

On December 21, 2024, the semi-final and final of the Photonics Special Track of The 13th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition successfully concluded at the Crowne Plaza Foshan Litai Hotel. In this technology event that gathered a wide range of innovative forces, VIJO (Suzhou) Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. (“VIJO Optoelectronics”) stood out from a large pool of contestants in the field of advanced semiconductor display technology and won First Prize in the Startup Group.

As one of the highlights of this year’s competition, the Photonics Special Track attracted active participation from many cutting-edge technology companies. Through a combination of on-site roadshows and offline expert reviews, projects were evaluated comprehensively across multiple dimensions, including technological innovation, business model, market potential, and team strength, with the goal of fairly and objectively identifying the most promising innovation projects. Among the 21 participating companies in the Startup Group, VIJO Optoelectronics’ project — “Micro-LED microdisplay products based on advanced semiconductor display technology” — successfully captured the attention of both judges and audience.

In the semi-final held on December 20, VIJO Optoelectronics showcased the broad application prospects of its project in automotive displays and metaverse-oriented AR display scenarios. Backed by deep technical accumulation, innovative solutions, and precise market positioning, the company earned unanimous praise from the judging panel and advanced to the final in first place.

Competition in the final on December 21 was even more intense. The VIJO Optoelectronics team once again demonstrated outstanding technical strength and innovation capability. The project’s core technological advantages in mesa sidewall repair, beam shaping, and wafer to wafer bonding lay a solid foundation for breaking through multiple technical bottlenecks in Micro-LED display technology going forward. After a closely contested round of presentations and evaluations, VIJO Optoelectronics achieved a remarkable score of 90.87, outperforming its peers and securing First Prize in the Startup Group. This honor not only fully recognizes the company’s technological innovation capabilities, but also serves as a strong encouragement for its future development.
